Nueva York, 12 dic (EFE).- Draymond Green fue expulsado este martes por darle un manotazo en la cara a Jusuf Nurkic en el partido entre los Phoenix Suns y los Golden State Warriors.
Esta es la tercera expulsión para Green en lo que va de temporada.
Con 8.23 en el tercer cuarto, el pívot de los Warriors luchaba por ganar la posición frente al interior de los Suns cuando se dio la vuelta y golpeó en la cara a Nurkic, que acabó en el suelo.
Los árbitros revisaron la acción y pitaron flagrante de tipo 2 por lo que Green se fue a la ducha antes de tiempo.
Green, imprescindible en los Warriors de Stephen Curry y Klay Thompson pero que tiene un largo historial de acciones muy polémicas y controvertidas, ya fue expulsado en dos ocasiones este curso.
La más grave de ellas fue a mediados de noviembre cuando agarró por el cuello con una llave a Rudy Gobert en una tangana en el duelo contra los Minnesota Timberwolves, una expulsión por la que recibió además una sanción de cinco partidos por parte de la NBA.
